Purpose
To ensure that secondments are organised and executed correctly.
To plan and provide recommendation to ensure that possible risks are reduced.

Scope
• Work with the host institutions to ensure the facilities made available to secondees provide the minimum required to successfully complete the objectives of the secondment.
• Identify host institutions’ rules and access rights for incoming researchers: insurance, visa, security briefings, housing, etc.
• Check and review the “Expedition schedule” prior to circulation among participants to ensure that:
◦ location and schedules are feasible
◦ Expedition material requirements are available or purchased.
◦ Relevant information about the country of destination is provided
◦ Full assessment of the potential risks to be encountered during the secondment are highlighted and the mechanisms to avoid them put in place
